Dennis contracted to construct built-ins for us last July. The job was to take two weeks in September. Throughout the end of 2013 he worked only 1-2 days, and was extremely unresponsive when we tried to contact him. He finally came and did most of the outstanding work in early 2014 and kept pushing us for checks. He pressured us into giving him the final payment one day and we never saw him again. Now we have partially completed shelves and will have to pay someone else to finish them, or spend the time to finish ourselves. It is now six months after he promised to complete the job and he refuses to contact us or even acknowledge that he is not planning to finish the work. Worse, the shelves are made of a hard-to-find wood and we need more in order to finish. Dennis claims he bought the wood and even worked on it at his workshop, but we can't get it from him now.
