The men did the hardscaping (patio & driveway). A couple of problems....There is a corner spot in the front where the blocks are not even (that is the least of my problems). The bottom 1st step on the front porch is higher than code (per another contractor I am working with for remodeling). The most troubling of problems is we had lights installed on the side of the driveway and in the short walls (around the firepit and the front of the driveway). The lights worked for 1 day and didn't turn on again. He did come back when I called him for this. He was able to get the lights on......they went out after he left. He doesn't answer my calls or respond to my texts, other than the "man who did the electrical for the lights was paid..he is done). My reply was, yes he was paid, but the lights don't work so he did a bad job. Luckily, we have an electrician in the family. He checked it and said the box is defective. So, now the family electrician is working on it instead of the person who installed it and was paid! I am very disappointed. He seemed like a nice man, but I have learned from this that is not enough. (I did go to a home where he did the same type of job. The owners had nothing but praise for him, and the job was beautiful)
