I wish I could give 10 stars to Rafi and his crew! They did such an amazing job creating a master bathroom out of my walk-in closet and I could not be happier. Rafi knew what I wanted better than I did. When we met for the initial consultation, I told him what I wanted and showed him around my home. He sat down and started sketching and honestly, I was blown away. I’ve lived in my home for 30 years, but Rafi had the vision to design it in the most functional way, maximize our space, all while making use of what we already had. I trusted him completely and in the end, I let him chose all the tiles and finishes. Now I have a beautiful space that looks classic and clean and I know it will still be in style for the next 20 years. His crew worked almost every day, even holidays and weekends and got the job done fast. Everyone that came by was honest, competent, friendly and did an impeccable job. Rafi kept in constant contact as well so I always knew where we were, every step of the way. I can’t recommend them more highly. After he finished my master bathroom, we were so impressed, we hired him to remodel our other bathroom. Give him a call. You will not regret it!

Customer Expectation My FTR Experience
On schedule. Not on schedule
On budget. Not on budget
Quality work. Quality Problems
Perform to plan. Not to plan
Project cost plus actual carrying cost $1.226M
I used FTR for a small job, under $100k and had no problems being on schedule, on budget, had quality work and performed to plan. But if you have a big job, are a developer, or investor continue reading below.
These are actual quotes from FTR so you have unbiased facts to make your decision on FTR’s schedule, budget, quality and plan.
Not on Schedule: “Can you remind us on Thursday morning to see if Rafi can get workers there Thursday afternoon or Friday.” Yes, FTR wants the customer to remind them to work. FTR doesn’t use any project management tools like Microsoft project. As a result, you get unqualified employees that don’t understand project management. FTR didn’t stick to our contract to finish in 10 months and we are into the 6 year.
Not on schedule: “perhaps the honest conversation i had with you a year ago that if you not happy with our work perhaps you should higher someone else.” Yes, FTR will tell you hire someone else. Let me repeat this, FTR will tell you to hire someone else. Just so you know, third time, FTR will tell you to hire someone else.
Not on schedule: “I got a call on guy not feeling well so he will stay home and the other have to do something I will see about Saturday if not will try to bring more people on Monday.” FTR has a very high turnover of workers so you get a lot of inexperienced workers which causes delays and unproductivity. The workers bring their own tools so don't expect the walls to be straight or floors to be level. Rafi will call the guys in the middle of the job to do work somewhere else. Things need to get redone over and over because of inexperienced workers.
Not on schedule: FTR let’s months pass by with no work. Homeless people will start squatting on your project. When I asked FTR to connect the cameras and install the mailbox he said, “The mail box the guys said the remember instructions to install on the left post and be honest with you personally I don't remember and I don't see what is the different. Now it's on the right side.” FTR avoided installing the camera and a $15k appliance was stolen. I showed Rafi the email about installing the cameras well before the theft.
Not on budget: FTR will ask for more money above the agreed budget to pay vendors as well as buy materials. When I paid for material and the invoices from vendors the they were all significantly less than the budget. Most contractors have a 20% profit/markup on subs cost. Not FTR. Many subcontractor invoices I paid had 40 - 60% profit/markup for FTR. Some of the invoices I paid had 600% profit/markup for FTR. When I asked Rafi about being well below budget he said he didn’t know where the money went.
Not on budget: A developer who is working on a house across the street wanted to see FTR's work, when he walked in he looked at two rooms and called it Mickey Mouse before walking out. He said he started in June 2021 and is further along after 6 months and his builder is doing it for a lot less money per square foot. When I told Rafi about this he said the developer was lying.
Quality problems: No Port-a-potty. (See photo) FTR doesn't use port-a-potty for the jobsite and will use a bathroom in the house for his workers. His workers pee and poo on the toilet seat to a point where no one wants to sit and then they pee and poo on the floor and the house will smell like a sewer. No Garbage container (see photo). FTR doesn't use a roll off garbage bin or timeline when things need to get cleaned/picked up. The neighbors will start calling you and complaining that no one is working and months will go by with trash left piling up in the front and back yard.
Quality problems: Utilities are not working. Rafi has no clue if the power, water, gas or HVAC is working. Rafi told me the power was working in the house because the lights went on but only two outlets the workers used for tools were working. When we connected the tankless water heater the hot and cold lines were reversed. A gas pipe was leaking when the gas company came out to turn on gas. The HVAC had ductwork that was missing in rooms. FTR doesn’t check the utilities.
Quality problems: “Although some neighbors of yours advice you different but you choose to work with us which we finish you forever home( as you said) , final inspection done, your garage conversion is done, your backyard with a pool is done.” Yes, your neighbors will advise you to use someone else. Your neighbors will tell you the project looks abandoned. When you ask Rafi if he is abandoning your project he will say, “No abbandi anything I will call you later.”
