    Roof replacement
    $40,000

    We entered into a $40k roof replacement contract with Galvano on 9/24 - to date our roof is still not completed. We initially paid Galvano $1200 to repair minor damage to a chimney area caused by Irma - after he put a tarp on that repair it continued to leak at the first rain. As a result he convinced us to replace the entire roof. On 10/10 they removed our entire roof and covered it with tarps - the next rain resulted in more leaks now all over the house - the contractor did not send someone to check or fix the leaks for several days, and we went days/weeks without anyone working on the roof at all. They removed our solar panels at the same time (which were brand new) and broke them during the process.
    During the next 6 weeks our house continued to leak and cause major drywall and floor damage - Galvano never addressed any of the concerns. We eventually brought an attorney in, as we had already paid Glavano $23k of the 40 and had a house without shingles and major damage in and around the house from their work. Following the attorney involvement they returned for a day and a half and during that visit they used the wrong size nails to install the shingles over our lanai and porch areas, creating exposed nails around the entire exterior. The sub that was doing the work pulled off his team, and we have not seen roofer again. In spite of this we released the $10k more to Galvano hoping he would finish the job, but at this time he has not. We have invoices totally $6k of interior damage, not including the damage to the exterior overhangs - and he has done nothing. DO NOT USE THIS CONTRACTOR - we will be proceeding to take him to court as we have documented all the damage, lack of responses from our calls to him.
