Frank replaced/repaired the clay tile roof on our Mediterranean style home and did a fabulous job. The tile had been discontinued by the manufacturer but he worked with the roofing sub contractor to locate a perfectly matching tile. The roof now looks beautiful!
He is man of rare integrity; he discloses all fees and material costs up front and expects his sub contractors to follow a similar ethos.

Twelve years ago we merged 2 rooms and built a chef's kitchen with fireplace and over 40 cabinets. We ordered maple for the cabinets. Unbeknown to us, the sub-contractor, S & S Designs, constructed the cabinets from plywood . The only maple was the veneer. Now the veneer is peeling and staining and the kitchen look shabby. Frank should have known about this and explained that we were getting very poor quality cabinets. When we had a problem with Scott Shutterly, the owner of S & S Designs, Frank told us that there was no other contractor available. Someone made a very large profit at our expense. My advise is to never hire him unless you have every single item inspected and written description of EVERYTHING signed off by Frank and all of his sub-contractors. Susan Wadley

Frank Gamel built a 5 bedroom / 4 bathroom home in Neptune Beach for us in 2007-08. Our children are grown and we are ready to downsize. The home was built so well that it needed only a few touch ups before placing it on the market. This was despite our three sons living and playing hard in it. Frank is a man of great character and integrity. He closely supervised every step of construction to the point his subcontractors worked hard not to let him down as they knew if they did, he would require them to redo what had been done. Frank has been a great resource through the years and it is rare that you end up liking your contractor more at the end of construction than before you did when you began building. We highly recommend Frank and will be using him again when we build or renovate our next home. He is currently advising us about homesites and whether they would meet our needs.
