  would not recommend this company too many good contractors that
  are not as sketchy address they show is not valid sent correspondence to that
  address which was returned as undeliverable
  company ignores our concerns will not address any of our requests for documentation
  they do not have a current address listed with the department of licensing
  lacked adequate communication with the supervisor

  Bathroom finishes

  I had mixed experience with the Seattle on a bathroom remodel involving drywall, tiling, hooking up existing water lines to new faucets, minor electrical hook ups, painting, hanging a new door, and flooring. Demolition was completed by another party. I think Giant underbid the project and it took 3+ weeks rather than thee 1 week estimate. I drew up a detailed list of all tasks to get clarity about the project scope; Giant’s proposal was based on a verbal agreement of what needed to be done. My detailed list, which the project manager agreed to before I assigned the contract, was important as the project proceeded and the project manager asserted that some tasks were not included in the bid. The drywall and tiling work was fine. The plumbing connects we’re a problem…no p-trap under the sink, no Teflon tape on the shower head stem (causing a leak in the wall, dripping to the basement,,,I fixed it, no damage), and the shower faucet was installed upside down and came off in my hand; I fixed that, too. The toilet supply line leaked, too. One of the electrical outlets does not work; I called the company twice about it, with no response. The luxury vinyl flooring tile was nicely installed except along the front edge of the shower…it was put in too tightly and squeaked loudly when stepped on, and the caulking was badly smeared and missing in a corner; I pulled out the caulking, fixed the squeak, and re-caulked. The door trim was not put on neatly. The wall texturing was well done, but paint drips and mars in the original drywall weren’t addressed; I fixed that, too. Communications were spotty; despite asking numerous times for a heads up on who and when workers would be present, it was a continual surprise. Insignificant in comparison, someone walked off with my utility knife and caulking gun. Also, drywall dust containment was insufficient, instead of hanging a ceiling to floor plastic barrier, film plastic was draped over furniture in the adjoining bedroom. Drywall enveloped the whole house; I’m still cleaning it up. Personally, I liked and was comfortable with the workers, and, as I said, the drywall patching work was shockingly good! The shower tile work looks good, too. This team needs to work on detailed project scoping so the bid is accurate. Plumbing, electrical, and communication skills need improvement.
