Mr. Gollas quoted me a cost and time frame to complete some remodeling in my home. When we agreed on some additional work as we went along we also agreed the extra work would be an additional cost but would not add to the time frame of job completion. The work was not done on time and he brought his son to the job every day. The work was shoddy, examples include sloppy painting, poor measuring, extensive over spray when texturing the walls and inconsistent texturing. he used leftover pieces of wood and nailed them together for door trim instead of using full strips of door trim. He did not miter the trim corners properly and just filled the gaps with caulk. He hung a shelf improperly and cut up another of my shelves to use as wall braces for the shelf he replaced. He did not paint the shelf before installing it and did not use the hardware I bought specifically for that shelf. He did not finish on time and when I asked him to correct some of his more glaring errors he became argumentative. he asked for all his money before the job was done and I told him I would pay the rest when he finished. He said I shouldn't expect everything to be fancy and that the work was good enough. He did not return. I did not care. I would not recommend him to anyone for any home repair work. I had to pay someone to correct his sloppy work and to finish the job he did not complete.
