I would like to also add my review with Gona Builders. This is odd that we have that same experience with this company. At first, everything was running smooth but as the project went on, there was an obvious change in the way we were treated. When his recommended sources were not our choice due to price but of the same quality from our source of supply, he did showed an attitude which made me conclude that he does get a cut from his source. There was even a comment when the materials are being installed, and we needed some corrections on how they were placed, that they are "cheap". He does not realize that ultimately, as the customer, that I am the one working for the money being spent...my hard earned dollars and have to stick with a budget. Yes, in fairness, his team did a good job but next time I hope his team gets better supervision to avoid rework.

I concur with the review that was posted for Gona Builders, in our case the project also started smoothly and we even agreed to buy the materials from one of his recommended suppliers but found out later that the materials we bought were way overpriced compared to other suppliers. We learned our lesson from that purchase and started looking for other suppliers so that we could stay within budget. We would hear comments that the materials we chose from other suppliers as “cheap” and that same comment would be mentioned several times over the course of the project without regard if it will hurt the client’s feelings. If a rework needs to be done on a job, it is not because our materials are “cheap” but they were not installed correctly and sometimes you would get a defensive stance even if the error was obvious. The project turned out good, but the company needs to make sure that its crew is always adequately supervised. There were team members that did a good job even without a supervision but the other workers really needed supervision as we begun to wonder sometimes their skill level in doing their job as until now we are still discovering areas in our house that need rework.
