You support a dream when you support a small business, and that's what I intended to do when I chose Greenacre Plumbing to solve my basement flooding issue. They came out 25 June 2018 to analyze my issue and offer a quote. Greenacre verbally quoted me $1,000 for a 5-foot french drain to route to my existing sump pump drainage and a sump pump replacement. Greenacre showed up to my home 27 June 2018 and began work before issuing the proposal. In my haste, I agreed without thoroughly reviewing it. This was my fault and I own that. I trusted Greenacre's verbal word without reviewing the proposal in its entirety because I trusted Jeff and because they reported to my home first thing before sending the proposal. Greenacre came out for a few days and dug up my yard, but did not finish the work. My basement flooded on 21 July 2018. Greenacre did not complete the work that began 27 June 2018. Greenacre pushed my project aside to tackle issues that were more pressing. I manually removed the water for hours, but gave up when I realized where the water came from. The water seeped through the spray foam that Greenacre used to seal the hole that they drilled in my brick stairwell in June 2018. I was grateful that Jeff brought a temporary pump to my house on 21 July 2018. He then returned on 22 July 2018 around 1300 hours. It was during this interaction that he insisted that the flooding was not Greenacre's fault, although the work was not complete and my written proposal did not include a new sump pump. I explained that I chose Greenacre for this project because we vehemently discussed a new sump pump installation when Jeff initially came to my house. He also insisted that I should use my homeowner's insurance to cover the damage to my bamboo floors and my photography equipment, because it was not his fault that the work was not complete in almost a month after they began. Jeff agreed to provide a new sump pump, which he purchased from Lowe's and installed 22 July 2018. He gave me the box that the sump pump came in from Lowe's. I returned to Fort Lee first thing Monday morning on 23 July 2018 for training. I was content with the installation of the new sump pump even though my yard was destroyed. My basement flooded again 23 July 2018 while I was away at Fort Lee for training, and all I could do was watch the water fill in the stairwell from my security camera. I reached out to Jeff at 1926 hours to inform him of the flooding and insisted that I would have a different company complete the work if Greenacre was unable to complete it. Jeff did not seal the hole that was in my stairwell after he installed the sump pump, and that is where the water continued to leak in. I explained that the dirt needed to be filled properly, and the drain needed to be completed so that the water would not run back into the stairwell from the drain his company installed. A representative from the company came to my home 24 July 2018 to remove the temporary pump and complete the job. After going back and forth for several weeks, Greenacre completed the job and received payment on 10 August 2018. My basement flooded again on 23 February 2019 and the water filled my stairwell through the drain Greenacre installed. The sump pump that Jeff purchased from Lowe's on 22 July 2018 did not work either. I reached out to Jeff and inquired about the 2-year warranty that Greenacre provided for their work. He informed me on 24 February 2019 that I would incur a service fee if the problem was related to electrical issues or if the sump pump failed. I canceled his visit to my home on 24 February 2019 and informed Jeff that I would have a different company come out, because he did not provide me with a copy of the receipt from Lowe's to utilize the 2-year warranty with the sump pump. I uploaded a review on HomeAdvisor about Greenacre on 25 February 2019. Jeff contacted me on 25 February 2019. He stated that he had big news for me if I did not fix my review and that he would bring me to court because I didn’t know what I was doing and he was going to educate me and his advice was that I better take care of it, summarized in his words. HomeAdvisor emailed me on 25 February 2019 and stated “The rating you have submitted is being contested by the service provider, Greenacre Plumbing, LLC. Reason for contesting: false statements.” HomeAdvisor gave me five days to provide proof that supported my review. I provided 10 emails between 25 February 2019 and 26 February 2019 that included pictures, emails, text messages, and videos of the damage to my home. A HomeAdvisor representative called me 4 March 2019 and agreed to republish my review to their website as a result of the proof I submitted. Jeff from Greenacre informed me via text that he was working with his legal team with Prince William County to see if he could bring charges against me.

Greenacre Plumbing is a scam company. They are the worst plumbers I have ever heard of. Their work quality is very low. They damaged my property. They initially estimated to do the repairs for $400 and later is threatened to sue me for over $10,000 !!! They're thieves !!
