  a re-roofing job

  I hired this person Greg Darr to do a re-roofing job on my house. he gave me a bid that I ok'd and paid him in full because I just trusted him. My Big mistake. not realizing that he was only work alone, well ok but that's going to take much longer. I asked him for a printout list of all materials that he bought and at what price and how much was used for this job. For that is my right to ask for that request. I never got it when asked of him to do so at some point. Also I stopped by one day to say hi and then he said that he had to be gone for several days to do work on his beech house. well then my thoughts were-no for I paid you to do my roofing job and not to go and do your own stuff. Oh Well if you have to. also I said that there was rain in the forecast. geez man i'm beginning to wonder about him. well Next boy the rains did come and within that couple of day came with huge downpours. within Then not knowing that he teared off a section above the covered front porch. He Put down a plastic to cover the bare section of the roof with a plastic type of covering but he did not properly apply that application and fasten down all that as is required and needed being for that section of that now exposed section of underlayments plywood. It leaked terribly flooding the porch's wooden flooring and water trying to run into the house. He was called right away as for him being away. He showed up the next day after the rains ended He showed up early before I arrived there on purpose , and came up with him saying after his inspection- there is nothing to worry about there's no damage or leaks. everything 'is fine. Yeh Right. Next to his cleanup job was poor. leaving bits of old tar paper, not doing a good gutter clean up as required, that had to be a needed redo. also left nails lying around and some instead of gathering them up he blew them into the gravel section of the driveway where extra vehicles are parked. So those needed to be picked out. I was told by several friends- man you stupid idiot, you dummy you should never of paid him in full, just half if required to start and finish the job. But I trusted him. yeh and look what you got.friend. yes I was dumb. So next just a few months latter there were rainy days ok and then it was noticed in the garage where the wall reaches the celine there was -black mold that had formed. we have the pictures. OH NO the roof is leaking up there somewhere. Up into the above garage Attic we went only to find that the insulation was all soaking wet and that all had to be heat treated and fan dried. In which we did so have to do but should of been done on his part. So we had to call him back to find and repair that leak which by in way was just a patch job and not re-doing that whole section where one roof line meets another. Great job Master Roofer of 50 years Experience as self proclaimed. I know why now as suspected about him never getting to me that requested list of all roofing materials statements and that was used. Is it that he doesn't want me to see them is because he could of easily be -short changing- me like with Not using all new underlayment materials of 15 lb felt, as that is what I paid for. Also as of late after looking into him he is not by choice an acknowledged member of the local BBB within its establishment for some reasons of his in that I so now ponder? He in the beginning He Threatened me with taking me to Small Claims Court for Harassment for calling him on about his Sabby roof job. Really, for that reason alone that did really quite upset me. for calling him about his observed Blunders. I myself have done many roofing jobs in my past younger days but at my age now and with so much less capabilities I am no longer able to do so and that is why I so once again Trusted Him to do this job. Hum, paid in full him- just how can i scrimp on materials making ever more profits off of this job by cutting corners, like using my paid in full Check that he quickly cashed to put into his to be pocked account. See I do not know if I got that latest and greatest guarantied of the 30 years of plus roofing materials. for there is no account of that. For I have now figgered out that He was not and I note Not To Be Trusted within my and our interactions. If only if he would of just come clean with me for I have since then asked other local Roofers about my choice they said in their politeness said- I would not of recommended him for several reasons. Did I not learn the hard way. Please Mr. Greg Darr, Please just do get with me about this matter ASAP. for it still can be resolved within a timely manner without further ado. It's up to you to do the Right Thing about Me. He has now still to date will not respond to me for my believed stated reasons. In my humble opinion He is not to be trusted as I surely did so. For that was my encounter with Master Roofer Greg Darr as a self proclaimed Expert. For he has so dissapointed me on his behalf. Licence # 56010. Levi.
