Hanley Contracting insatlled my HVAC (central airconditiong) in a new construction home i built in Brooklyn. i have since had nothing but grief andd hardache.
to start,
Chris hanley is less a less than tolerbale person,. he is very aggressive and quick to anger. but thats besides the point. his installation job was a terrible disaster.
my system is a split sustem with two compressors outdoors and trwo airhandlers in the attic. the air handlers cirsulate the cold air to the rooms via duct work that was improperly installed by chris. the result was a cool attic and a boiling house. my wife and kids were miserable. also chirs did not properly install one of the airhandlers leading to a water leak(the humidity fromo the house) that caused havok in my new house and led to mold and lildew growth. he worst part of his installation was the copper tubing that was leaknig freaon. as a result after a week or so NO cold air was blowing out of the air handler.
in short, i hired a qualified HVAC technician.
total cost to fix Chirs hanley's work is $3,000, two weeks of work and a huge inconviance in my life. and thats to top the $10k i spent for chirs to install the system. a price that the QUALIFIED tech should have only been $7k.
