DO NOT use this Company or this Contractor.
We purchased a house that was flipped for a third party. Andrew Brett of HSC was the contractor used to do the flip. Our first home inspection prior to purchasing had over 30 items listed that needed to be done. We requested 12 of the most urgent including Flooring, Windows, Counters, Bathroom plumbing and HVAC Venting.
HSC was the company also did the repairs for the termite CL100.
He “Brett” signed off that all the requested repairs were done. That the work required by the CL100 was repaired and or structurally sound.
We had our home inspector do a follow up inspection. Our Home Inspector found that HSC’s workers had damaged the HVAC ducting so much that they had to replace it, damaged a window latch and had to be reminded to finish other parts on the list.
Upon taking over the house we also had another CL100 inspection done. The same inspector who had done our original CL100 found sub-floor sections that Andrew said was repaired or structurally sound was not repaired and still considered not sound. When we requested Andrew to do the repairs that he’d been paid to do, he wanted more money from us even though he’d cleared it. He did finally do the Sub-Floor repair work at a discount.
Once again I would recommend you avoid using Home Services of Charleston and Andrew S. Brett for Contractor work.
