I would not recommend Tim to anyone. We started a 10 week project in the beginning of November 2024 and signed the contract in October of 2024 and gave a deposit. It was a simple bathroom and bedroom renovation. Tim was supposed to start the permit process and let me know when to start. I got a text saying permits were ready and he could start. He showed up one day, helped finish demo (breaking up the tub), took the start of project check and then left. Long story short, he only showed up a handful of times and we only got a window installed.
I got fed up with the excuses around week 8 and called the county building office and they had no records of Tim filing for a permit. No drafts, no unsubmitted, no submitted, nothing. I also found out that his "contract" is not valid in California as its missing several provisions as required by the business and professions code. He also was not allowed to take money for work not performed. I should have questioned it but trusted him.
Learn from my mistakes and do not trust Tim. He has a pending CSLB investigation as well as numerous complaints against his bond.
