DO NOT HIRE J&E DESIGN AND BUILD, CO. (aka J&E Painting and Carpentry, Inc.). The Owner Joe Hernandez is a liar, a hack and a thief. We hired this company to construct a Master bedroom addition on our house. He took $30,000 of our money and left us with an addition that was uninhabitable and failed the initial inspection on every level. We have had to hire another contractor to fix everything in the addition from the roof to the foundation. All of our attempts to contact Joe Hernandez has been ignored. He wouldn't answer our calls nor respond to messages we've left for him. He's one of these scam artists that will change the name of his "company" once he gets complaints from clients.
