Originally founded in Oak Park by John and Edward Duff with a focus on residential work, the company shifted to its current project types in the 1960s under Dick Lauber’s leadership. Today, J & E Duff, Inc. is owned and operated by Richard Lauber, Jr. The company is a union contractor and handles masonry projects for a range of non-residential clients throughout the region. Since relocating its offices to West Chicago in 2001, J & E Duff, Inc. has remained focused on union masonry services in Northern Illinois, drawing on decades of operational history and industry experience.
