If I could leave the star rating blank, I certainly would. We hired Mr. Janssen to perform work in our backyard, primarily our pool. When he did show up, he showed up late every time, he demanded to be paid in cash and refused to provide an invoice, and the paint job he did on our pool began to bubble within one month, despite his guarantee that it would last 5 to 6 years. When we asked him to come look, he became defiant, angry, and would not entertain reasonable discussions. Even after we had the paint tested and the lab confirmed that the paint bubbled as a result of improper surface preparation (i.e. faulty labor), he continued to blame the paint. The paint company even went so far as to offer us free paint as a show of good faith to prove that they stand by their product. He, on the other hand, swore and yelled and has refused to make good on his warranty. Regarding the rest of the work he performed, he left an absolute mess that he did not clean up. Overall, he has a terrible, aggressive attitude and no work ethic. Awful experience.

Absolutely horrible human being of an owner. Called me 10 years after I fired him from a roofing siding project. He had the nerve to accuse me of not paying him $11,000. This is the first I've heard of it in 10 years. He had no proof no documents to prove that I owed him anything. He just kept telling me he had a file with all the information he needed he just was to busy to look at it for proof. He said he had a really good memory and remembered me not paying.He was payed in full
up until the point he was fired.
