John Barry, owner of JB 3 Remodeling came to our property and gave us an estimate. We agreed to his price, and he took a $5,000 deposit from us. He started the work much later than what was agreed upon. As per his contract he asked for another $5,000 after 2 days of work for materials. After he took the money, he disappeared completely. He ignored most of our calls and texts and kept saying he will come tomorrow, next week, etc. Every time we confronted him; he gave us a new excuse. He left our property destroyed. John refused to refund us or finish the job as agreed upon in the contract. In his final communication to us he basically told us he is keeping the money and if we write any reviews about him, he will report us to police for harassment.
Please be advised all the people writing positive comments about him are his family members. When we went public with what John Barry has done, countless other people reached out to us and told us that he has done the same thing to them. Do not hire this contractor, he will steal your money and ruin your property.

John Barry is a fraud He stole 9100 from me and destroyed my basement. He demo my basement and did not return to remodel it. He caused structural damage to home. I gave him 6500 for all my materials and a deposit to start the job. He begin to request more money for materials which I gave him a total of 9100 . He left without leaving any materials or finished work and did not return. After reaching out several times he threaten to call the police on me. He destroyed my home and my future business. A 2 week job never got completed and cost me all my cliental. It has been a nightmare. I later found out that I am not his only victim. PLEASE BE AWARE! His family are working along with him too.
