  Driveway and garage floor

  Horrible experience with JDK and its owner Jeff. He ripped out our driveway 4 weeks ago only for us to have to sit for 3 weeks without a driveway because he didn't pull the permit ahead of time. The day they poured they ran out of concrete and had been finishing the edges and broom sweep by flashlight, which i have to say looks sloppy. We wanted a step by our back door and he said that it would be a level 8" but if I wanted it an inch or two higher we could do that. So I asked for 2 inches higher unfortunately that did not turn out anything like I asked and the entire section bt the back door is now sloped when you walk out, oh and there is no step. Same issue with our section for our patio it is also sloped down. When I expressed my concerns to him about water gathering between these 2 slopes he become very rude blaming me for wanting more concrete by the back when all I asked for was a step! Communication with him was minimal, and he constantly had personal issues over the last month that seemed to get in the way of his professional work. I have never been so unhappy with a contractor from his communication, work and how he spoke to me was completely unacceptable. I have texts & pictures for proof but couldn't post on here.

  Horrible experience!! Poured my driveway, within 1 year all cut panels separated. The entire bottom half of my driveway is crumbling. Jeff is a crook and horrible contractor, in my informed opinion

  Concrete patio and sidewalk

  Jefferson Hughes poured a huge concrete patio for us off the back of our house last fall as well as a sidewalk in the front. He assured us that the fiberglass additive in the concrete mix eliminated the need for rebar and a thick stone base under the pour. We were initially thrilled with the patio. Until February when we noticed the many cracks appearing all over the patio. I texted Jeff, he promised several times to come look at the patio. Never showed. He got paid in cash for more than half the job, and has never delivered paperwork that he failed to produce when the job was finished. Next step may have to be small claims court.

  Pour a garage floor, driveway, walkway, stairs

  I had over 2,000 square feet of concrete poured last September that cost $12,000.00. I have been waiting since June for the owner, Jeff Hughes, to come out and see two large sections of the driveway that have cracked completely across. The finish on the garage floor is sloppy. Water pools in areas of the garage and walkway. Lots of promises, no follow through.

  JDK Constructions work is terrible. I have a picture but could not post it here. They spilled sealer over one section of the walkway and tried to clean it up. During this process they scraped away some of the cement making it even worse. However, it’s not even the correct stamp. I paid $500 for the walkway and $135 for a particular stamp. Prior to the work being done I sent Jeff an email with the name of the stamp (Heavy Stone), a picture of the concrete after using the stamp, a picture of the stamp itself and the website I found everything on. It wasn’t what I got. How can you get that wrong?

  To get this resolved I’ve been leaving voice messages and sending email messages to Jeff telling him this needs to be redone with the correct stamp. He will not return any of my voice mails or emails.
