    Paint pool, renovate from brick to concrete
    $13,000

    I had my pool renovated by JG this past fall. The first round of paint was poor quality so I called and Jose promptly came back out to put another coat. In the end, the concrete work and paint job looked good so I covered it and removed the cover in the spring. That's when I saw a large number of holes in the concrete that needed to be patched already. I emailed nd called them to have someone come out and take a look to either patch it up or give me an estimate on a follow-up job. I left a message, I texted Jose pictures and I emailed them 3 times throughout April. Finally they responded on the 4th email saying they will try to send someone this week. No word. I emailed again on 5/10 and 5/16. I received a response on 5/17 saying they will send someone this week. They finally did, but they didn't even look at the concrete defects. I emailed again on 5/19 and 6/8. They responded on 6/9 saying they are a little busy but Jose will come out to check the concrete. No word. I left another message and another email on 6/29. Totally ignored. The initial job looked great after the 2nd coat of paint, but the concrete work needs repairs after 5 months and the paint is already chipping. They were really responsive to calls and emails during the actual project, but as soon as they were asked to stop by to look at the problems/defects, their customer service became non-existent. I never leave negative reviews for businesses because most of the time the situation is misunderstood, but I gave JG pools several opportunities to make things right before going to the web. I initially recommended them to others in the area, but have since told them to look elsewhere. Use at your own risk.

    Jose was nice and did offer a fair price for repainting a pool, professionally.
    I used this job to access their work as I was planning a large renovation the next year.
    Work was completed on schedule, however quality of work was poor.
    Painted one coat Olympic Zeron white. Left patches and lines of poorly coated areas and gave a poor finished product. Jose did say he would come back to touch it and gave a date. He was a No Show and did not call, text or email the cancellation making me waste 6 hours of my day. He would not return my calls until I called from a different number. Then said he would not fix the issues, stating the contract was for one coat of paint. That was not in the contract. It was for painting the pool professionally. I can and will do a better job. I had to buy more paint that he refused to reimburse, but he did offer to drop off a gallon so I could do it myself.
    I would not recommend this company to anyone. They are unprofessional and provide poor quality work.

    Jose has been our 'pool guy' for years. He's smart, easy to work with, he does excellent work! He also installed a fence for us last year and did a great job, even working in inclement weather.
    He should be 'your guy' too!

    Jose was very prompt on calling me back. I tried several other pool contractors who never even bothered to return calls or show up.
    Jose was on time to each trip to my home.
    He did a great job installing a new pool light . He also replaced some filter valves .
    Very pleasant and courteous.
    I will certainly have him back for future upkeep on my pool.
