My insurance company made me use him because he could replace a damaged heat pump for cheaper than other outfits. The brand new unit he installed died in less than 2 years. The "10 year warranty" he gave me turned out to only be a 1 year warranty on parts but not labor, and after 3+ months of trying to get him to coordinate with the manufacturer to send the right replacement parts, I finally gave up because he was completely unresponsive. Nice guy when you actually meet him, but totally unreliable and uninterested in helping. Very disappointed and out a lot of money as a result.

six months ago I was lucky enough to find Jim Hoover online, he installed a used heat pump that I had bought and also a brand-new air handler that I had purchased through him with a 10 year warranty. they drove an hour and a half to install the equipment and gave me a great deal compared to other quotes that I had Got. my air conditioning wasn't working like it should so I called a local HVAC guy from Excel heating and cooling so Jim Hoover didn't have to make the trip if it was a small fix. lo and behold, it was a valve that had broke on my brand-new air handler. The guy from excel quoted me at $2100 to fix the problem. I called Jim up and told him the part had broke that was under warranty on the New unit he had installed. he drove clear back up to my house and installed the new part which was actually only a $40 fix! these guys are extremely reasonable, definitely NOT out to get your money, and very nice!
