Are there stars below 1? Truthfully he doesn't deserve a single star. The only reason one appears is the review can't be posted without something there.
As the other reviewer stated drop cloths were never used over newly laid floors where nails and chunks of concrete were stepped on!
Doors hung out of plumb. Trim installed with soapy nails I caused it to crack besides the fact it wasn't fitted properly and had massive gaps along with foam leaking out all over.
He nor his "crew" ever showed up with the basic tools needed for the job and expected me to provide tools or run for supplies .
Never was a straight answer given nor any phase of the work completed on time
I had to throw them out before they touched anything else . -

The people are the epitome of bad contractors, if the term were in the dictionary there should be a picture of Jack Kelly's face. The contractor that we had to hire to clean up after these ones said the industry refers to them as "fly by night" contractors. We wanted the house done by October 31st for our toddlers Halloween party, they went over time and budget into December, then left and never came back. They even left some of their equipment here. They ruined my original cabinets, we had to buy new ones, they didn't nail in the balusters on the banister and my 4 year old niece actually fell through the steps. They never put transition strips between the floors and the tile started chipping away. They have a refusal to cover anything with a drop cloth, so, when you sand after just lacquering a new wood floor guess what happens? The floor doesn't look so new anymore. We were so taken by them in the beginning, we trusted them, and they wrecked that trust. Hiring this bunch at JJK construction was one of the worst decisions I have ever made, and as I pay the bank back for all the renovations over the next ten years I will continue to regret them.

I was shocked reading some of these reviews... My experience with Jack Kelly (the father) has always been great. He's done our bathrooms, kitchens, floors, even our rental properties. Never any issues. Always upfront with costs, and when unexpected issues present themselves along the way (old houses are always full of surprises.) My experience with Jack Kelly (the son) horrible - but they stopped working together years ago. Jack Sr. has retired but if he were still in the contactor business - I wouldn't call anyone other than him. His work is quality and always to code.
