Hired to replace existing deck with trex. Horrible workmanship, lack of communication several no shows and excuses. Took months to finally get to my breaking point. Wouldn't listen to what my vision was the deck, kept trying to get me to pay more to add what should have been included. Expected to pay for extra material for mistakes he made! Filed complaint with the State only to find out that he failed to pull a permit. I applied and Inspector came out. It failed miserably!! Inspector could not believe how bad it all was. Other contractors that came out were blown away at how bad it was. The entire rhing has to come down and be rebuilt. As an"experienced" he should have known what to look for. Despite pointing the lack of additional support beams at the time of construction, he turned a blind eye until he decided he could do it for more money. Clearly he doesn't know what he was doing. Hired a lawyer, had him served to sue for damages and he has blatantly ignored the complaint with the court. It is going to cost me double to have the deck rebuilt, and he gets away with half of my money. DO NOT HIRE JOE CRISPIM unless you want to deal with a crook and don't care about professionalism.quality work, asthetics and safety.
