    Bathroom and Kitchen
    $1,000,000

We had some work done by this contractor and we were delighted. They remolded our kitchen and it turned out gorgeous! JPCorp installed new cabinets, quartz countertops, and tile on the floor and backsplash. They also remodeled our bathroom and we haven't had any problems. We would use them again we are very happy with their work and the work was done in a timely manner.

    Major remodel
    $120,000

If I could give 0 stars I would. We hired 'Misner Construction/JP Corp' for a complete remodel of our 1977 split level in 2020. This included the kitchen, living/dining, hallway, entry and stairway, 2 bathrooms and 1 bedroom to the tune of over 100K. This was started in January and finished in December 2020.

Since completion we had the following issues:

    - improper installation of bathroom plumbing leading to giant crack in main sewer pipe resulting in a major sewage leak between the downstairs bathroom and laundry room. The plumber who fixed the issue was very clear that this was an installation error. Our downstairs bathroom had to be ripped out and drywall was removed in both rooms. The contractor is denying any fault. Still unresolved.
    - about a month ago we noticed another leak, now coming from the master bath shower drain. This drain was non existent and was newly installed by Misner Construction. Our plumber came out again and it appears that the subfloor was improperly installed which allowed the tile to flex/crack and grout to come up which caused the leak. This drain was non existent before the remodel and it is clearly an installation error. Unresolved.
    - living room flooring was installed incorrectly and had to be redone completely (resolved)
    - cracked tile in both bathrooms again due to improper subfloor and tile installation.
    - floor grout coming up in both bathrooms (same issue)

Don M. is the actual owner/operator of Misner construction, but all the work was done by his subcontractor Jon H of JP Corp. Jon H. himself was mainly absent and always in a rush leaving his inexperienced (never did tile before) helper to do most of the work.

We made all payments out to Misner Construction, but apparently Jon H. was the one actually running the show. Don M. and Jon H. are ghosting us and Jon H. is not admitting any fault when we spoke to him (we initially tried to do the right thing and work with him through this issue).

In the meantime Misner constructions insurance is infighting with Jon H.'s insurance as to who is at fault and needs to pay for the damage. Neither Don M. nor Jon H. have contacted us since we were forced to start an insurance claim.
We are looking at thousands of dollars of repairs and will most likely have to rip out both bathroom flooring if not more. It is unsure at this point if and which insurance will cover these repairs.

Stay clear of this irresponsible contractor.
