Experience started back in 2017. This contractor does nothing but make promises, lie, and not complete any appropriate work. I am still trying to get some money back and repair damage his crew has left.

I hired JS Homework Construction to build a patio. What I got instead was a front-row seat to the unraveling of a man who believes he’s the last hope for suburban redemption.
From the moment Joe arrived, he made it clear this wasn’t just a job; it was a mission. Within ten minutes, he’d launched into a monologue about how “every Plano parent is part of a Buddy Program designed to keep me from helping the children.” I asked if he meant a PTA. He scoffed. “No. It’s deeper. It’s coordinated. They meet in basements. They fear me because I raise monsters.”
I assumed “monsters” was metaphorical. It was not. He showed me photos of some kids doing tire flips in a parking lot and whispered, “Straight monsters homie. We don’t play by Plano’s rules.”
Joe believes he should be coaching football. “I was born to lead from the front,” he said, while hammering a board into the wrong wall. Unfortunately, his arrest record prevents him from working with children. “Technicality,” he muttered. “They’re scared of what I represent. I could fix Plano in six months if they'd let me.”
The actual construction? A fever dream. Boards were nailed in zigzags. The concrete was poured directly onto my flower bed. He installed a bench that faces a fence and called it “a place for reflection.” He smoked inside my garage, left behind a half-eaten Slim Jim on my windowsill, and carved the word “TRUTH” into one of the patio posts.
When I asked for a receipt, he handed me a handwritten note that said “You’ll see.”
If you’re looking for a contractor who doubles as a self-proclaimed prophet of youth reform and suburban upheaval, JS Homework Construction is your guy. If you just want a patio, maybe try literally anyone else.
