K Five Construction Corp traces its origins to a family tradition of construction in Chicago dating back to the early twentieth century. Founded in 1977 by George Krug Jr., the company was established upon the legacy of both the W.J. Newman Company and George Krug Excavating Company, whose work includes downtown Chicago landmarks and the Eisenhower Expressway. Based in Westmont, Illinois, and led by President Robert G. Krug and Executive Vice President Jennifer Krug McNaughton, K Five Construction has evolved from a residential paving company to one of the state’s largest unionized heavy highway paving contractors. The firm provides customized paving solutions for both government and private sector projects throughout Illinois, serving businesses with a focus on large-scale roadway and infrastructure work.
