  Patio Concrete

  I contacted John through a co-worker of mine who said that John does a good job. The initial conversation regarding the patio concrete was okay. He said they would start work on 12/10 between 8-9 AM and can complete the job within the same day. On 12/10, we waited passed 9:00 AM, no show John texted at 11:01 AM saying he’s running late. I asked how late, and he said 30-40 minutes late. They did not show up until 1:39 PM. No apologies for being late. They appeared frustrated.

  Regardless, I’ve asked him to do a job and he’s there. So, I thought not a big deal. They used their bobcat to dig the area where I asked them to put the concrete. Around 4:30, they took off without saying anything. At 5:42 PM, I texted John to asked if they were coming back for the evening and if not, were they returning on Friday to complete the work. No response.

  At 7:10 AM, I tested John again ti see if they were coming back because the weather forecasters said it was going to rain. His reply, “No rain.” We waited.

  At 11:10 AM, I texted again to see if they were on their way. No response. Around 11:40 PM, they showed up and a concrete truck came. They poured the concrete and the guys started to smooth out the concrete.

  At 2:00 PM, they were about done. I asked how the concrete was going to be like with the rain coming. John decided he was going to Home Depot to get a tarp. At 3:30 PM, he came back, and the first rain had put raindrops all over the cement. They smoothed it and brushed it with their brush and put the tarp onto multiple 2X4s and placed it over the concrete. John said it would be okay and that he would be back to take down the 2X4s, the tarp, the stakes, and clean things up, I paid them, and they left at 4:28 PM.

  Monday came, and the rain had washed off a part of the brushed concrete, leaving a line of many pebbles 6 inches by 40 inches long. I texted John at 9:22 AM to see what time they were planning to come over so I can show them what’s happened to the concrete. To my disappointment, response; no show.

  Tuesday, 12/15, came and still nothing. At 9:17 AM, I texted John again. This time I included the photos of the damaged concrete and asked if there’s anything that they can do.

  It is now Saturday, 12/19. Still nothing. So, decided to put this up in hopes that John or some would read this.

  I’m very disappointed in the lack of communication, customer service, professionalism, response, and the concrete. I went back to my co-worker and told him my experience with John. I would not recommend this type of work or company to anyone else.

  Concrete driveway

  They did my front driveway and concrete in back yard. Front driveway cracked in 2 weeks and in backyard the water collects on the concrete. Owner named john was made aware of this and promised to come and fix it but never shows up.
