He's been in the business long enought to know how to make things look good, but in reality its the wrong way of doing things and probably hasn't changed much in 30 years. As for designing a house he has no clue, just look at his own place. The kitchen is a dark little hole on the north side. Personally I want to see the sun in the morning, but i guess you could alway hang out in the sunny garage with the dog.
