We are a gated community in Ellijay; we hired Mr. Kelly in March of 2016 to complete a job that was delivered, only under pressure, three weeks beyond the contracted completion date. Within one month, the bottom of our pool was peeling and shedding. Less than two years have passed and the pool is a disaster; I am now the president of our association and I feel horrible about recommending him. We are currently in the process of considering filing a law suit against him, if for no other reason, than to keep others from the same fate.

In May of 2017, we contracted with Kelley Custom Pools & Spa to construct a swimming pool in our backyard. At that time, Mr. Eric Kelley indicated to us that the pool would be done within 12 weeks. It is now the end of January 2018 and we are not anywhere close to having him complete the job. We have placed numerous calls and texts to Mr. Kelley asking for updates and resolution with limited communication back. There have been any number of excuses and reasons why it has been delayed. Mind you, we have paid Mr. Kelley all but $5,000 of the total contract price as required yet have not had any work done in months.

We signed a contract in April and it’s almost Christmas with a loooong ways to go.
There is almost no communication, once he has your money he no longer cares. We are currently awaiting a delivery of travertine that was “supposedly” ordered in August. We’ve been asking for months (no exaggeration) about the status of the delivery and were finally told it was going to be delivered last week. That was another lie in a long line of many lies. Our phone calls go unanswered, our text messages are ignored, emails ignored stay away from this contractor!
The icing on the cake is that he accuses his contractors of stealing to get away with not paying them. So then they will harass you for months asking for payments. He then tries to get you to “go along” with his story about them stealing telling them we had them on camera. We did not and did not go along with his “story”.
Find anyone else!

Takes all your money in installments with the largest ones in the first 3 installments, then disappears and you are left with a unfinished pool. Do not take the chance with this guy. Worst mistake I ever made!

Eric Kelly gets 5 stars for being a scum bag. Instead of asking him how many pools he built a year I should have asked him how many did he finish....and the answer is 0 . Same story with me as everyone else here... this guy is looking for 95% of his money when the pool is 30% done. I told him to take a walk and finished it myself. DO NOT hire this guy for anything.
