Very inflexible, and has no concern for how his last-minute actions might disrupt carefully staged plans in construction. Likes to talk at great length about details, but then not follow through on agreed upon materials, time frames. Convinces you and acts as though he has subcontractors completely lined up, but then the night before start date (materials purchased by owners, other subcontractors depending on this stage of work, house emptied of occupants by buying them a hotel for 5 days) "hopes his drywall guy will be back for vacation in time" to start the job on time. And when you express concern, he flippantly comments maybe he'll just do the work himself, even though he hasn't done it in years. Committed to a job that had blatant time restraints from the beginning, and then flaked at 9pm the night before the start. Cost us a couple thousand even though he never did the work.
