    i have used ken koons for 3 major residential extensions on our home. Ken may be a character but he knows his business... has years and years of experience and can navigate through the building the department like no one else. he can drive you crazy but I would never even think of using anyone else. libbi

    I would recommend Kenneth Koons highly, they provide a hands on experience. Especially dealing directly with the NYC Building Dept. When ever you are dealing with Government Agencies you need someone with knowledge and relationships which Kenneth Koons has.

    Ken Koons did a great job for me at a modest cost working with the plans I had from the other people and solved the problem with the building dept which I don't remember the details of, but that is why the other 'architect' disappeared, as it was some sort of Catch 22 oversight on his part. I see Koons has a bad Yelp review but my experience with him in 2014 was great.

    He got the job done but impossible to communicate withHe's a double edged sword.He doesn't answer his phone email texts or smoke signals.Once you get him things go ok, but you can die before he answers.

    Actually save your client the trouble and a lot of money by hiring Ken Koons. He took a lot of money and did nothing! I had to hire another architect and lost an exorbitant amount of money to Mr Koons.

    Ken Koons really knows his field. He also knows people in the Building Department that helps him move things along faster. I guess he's been working in the Bronx a long time. He's very thorough. He's straight with you. He's a bit pricy, but he was able to get my problem fixed in 6 weeks. The worst thing I could say about him is he is extremely busy. You can never get him on the phone or even leave a message. He communicates almost entirely through e-mail. He will answer you, but not right away.

    I would use him again or send my friends to him.
