Working with Steve Leal was an absolute pleasure. Very amenable to reasonable changes during the project and the build was exceptional all the way through. Construction of our multi-tiered deck was started on time and completed on time. We acquired 4 bids and Steve's estimate/bid was significantly under all others. I am well knowledgeable of the materials used as I used to be in the lumber production business and the frame materials were first rate, stout and top quality. Can't say enough positive about this company.

Steve Leal took almost 2 yrs to build my 987 sq.ft. home. 2 bdrm, 1 1/2 ba. Besides his imperfect work, the crew he subcontracted to did less than average workmanship.
Steve built this by himself, except for help with the trusses. His wife Ann painted the interior doors and outside porch railings(which are peeling) along with him.
I have nails sticking out under my kitchen island overhang. The flooring he installed does not go under the molding along the wall in several places. There is no molding to cover the gap between the bathroom cabinet and tile, in both bathrooms. The front door casing is split and there is a gap where you can see light from outside when you shut the door. The guest bdrm door didn't shut completely. My countertops were ordered incorrectly (twice) and installed even though they didn't match.
Besides all this, my main electrical line was severed when Steve was covering it up. I lost power 1 week after I had moved in. Steve and his electrician "fixed" it. We thought. About 4 months ago the power went out, again. "They" had not dug the line up far enough back to the Power Pole and it had "overtime" gradually severed and carroded through, again. I called another electrician that came out on a Sunday and repaired it for me, which cost me.
Seriously, I could go on. There is more inadequate workmanship.
When one reads this please realize that this is not a deck, dock, remodel, shed, etc. This is my retirement home. Steve and Ann Leal are nice people but his quality of work is deplorable.
