  We hired Larkin Construction for a bathroom remodel and he was great. It was finished in less than a week and was reasonably priced. Will definitely use them again.

  replace deck

  They did a decent job rebuilding our deck and it looks nice. However, we never got a contract, the measurements for the posts to reinstall our existing rails were ridiculously inaccurate which we pointed out to them (they were able to fix this before they laid the deck thankfully), and communication was sorely lacking. They returned one final day to install our old railings and left without a word. The railings were uneven and the gates wouldn't close (one gate was even bigger than the opening between the posts). They didn't clean up their debris. We were able to fix the gate fiasco by reinstalling post sleeves (they had replaced some with thicker ones because they said ours were no longer available but we found ones like ours in stock at Lowes and Home Depot). Overall, we would not recommend this business.

  Larkin construction is the best you can go wet honest great price great work an done in a timely fashion this one bad review is from a lady that was just being ungrateful i have never had a problem with this company they are great

  Replace three interior doors

  Loser contractor - Stay away from this guy!

  Absolutely stay away from this contractor. I paid him $650 (half of his original bid) to get started replacing three interior doors. Chuck Larkin bid to replace the doors with the same quality of doors and to finish them to match existing woodwork. It took three months for him to get the doors, they were of very poor quality, particle board doors. He did match the color of paint, but painted WITHOUT sanding! He took away two of my high quality doors without my permission and would not return them when I asked for them. He also quit in the middle of the job, leaving only one cheap door poorly installed scraping the carpet, one without framing and the third completely not installed. He claims he quit because the house shifted and his original measurements wouldn't fit, and I was demanding he actually sand and straighten the installed door. After tackling the job myself, I realize that he in fact, was trying to install a door that was NO WHERE NEAR the same measurement as the original door. His measurement was almost TWO inches off! If I had the time right now, I would start a lawsuit against him. Maybe I still will.
