I worked with Lauren Wingert to build a small ADU and do a fairly major remodel to my main home: adding a kitchen and dining room and turning the existing kitchen into an extension of the living room, as well as adding an entryway and bay window to the front of the house.
I cannot express how fantastic it has been to work with her. First, she has been exceptionally responsive. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has had the experience of writing an email to someone with multiple questions, and when the response comes back it answers only the first question and ignores the rest. Lauren answered every single question, in detail, every time. Her responses have been very prompt; no waiting days or weeks for an answer to questions. She understood everything I was trying to say or request, even moreso than the architect and designer. Sometimes she even had to explain to them what I wanted because she just "got it."
I would also like to emphasize that my project has been exceptionally challenging. I unfortunately hired a bad contractor, and multiple revisions had to be made to the plans due to cost overruns, some of them quite major. Also, this is my first time doing a remodel, and often I wasn't sure whether to direct my questions to the architect or to Lauren, so she received emails with questions that shouldn't have even been sent to her. Through all of these challenges, Lauren remained understanding and patient.
I honestly cannot recommend Lauren highly enough. After this experience, I wouldn't even consider hiring anyone else.
