  bathroom remodel and expansion

  My experience with Legacy was a pleasure from start to finish. They are friendly, honest, cordial, polite, and their work really is exemplary. They redid my downstairs bathroom and it looks like a $50,000 bathroom but I spent less than half of that to redo the entire area, bump it out in some parts, add a shower and tub, and redo the cabinetry. It was a huge transformation and I love the space now! I get compliments on it all the time and people are always asking who did the work because it really does stand out as being far beyond what you would see in a typical home. I found Legacy to be very reliable as well. I never had a problem getting into contact with them. My calls were always concerned and any questions I had were answered in a very direct and thorough manner. If I wasn't understanding something, Bryan would sit down with his pencil and notebook and draw things out for me so that I knew exactly what was going on. It was lovely.

  laundry room remodel

  two words - old school. quality of work is amazing. they are totally responsive and while they are doing your project, you are their priority. no doubt. good rep in community, they really care about the customer being satisfied, and i'm a few years out now from the work they did, and they still call and check in and make sure that i'm still happy with it and follow up. i know a good company and solid ethics when is see them and these guys are the real deal.

  2nd story remodel

  Used to remodel our upstairs. The floor plan was changed and it was extensive work. Legacy dee made the entire process stress free for us. Brian handled everything from ordering products to windows, tiles, doors, sunlights, etc. Guy is amazing and does it all. Just wanted to share our experience because a business like this should get some credit!

  Cabinets and doors

  I used legacy to replace my interior doors downstairs and to put in new kitchen cabinets and hardware. I was amazed with the end results. If you want a nice clean end result, go with legacy. The owner is an architect and it makes a real difference. You are paying for the contracting work and products but you are essentially getting a professional who knows what makes an interior pop and structurally and visually how to get the look you are after.

  My experience w/ Legacy was a positive one. They surpassed my expectations. I'd highly recommend them if you have an appreciation for highly skilled wood working and customized projects for your home. I know the work Bryan, the owner, did at my home bumped up the value considerably, which is what he predicted. He's got a keen eye for knowing what the real estate market demands. I was pleased because I got to enjoy the work he did at my place for about four years and then when I went to resell the house the things he redid were things that specifically left my house in a bidding war.   Legacy treated me and my house like gold. The end result is absolutely stunning. Everyone who comes in asks who did this type of skilled work and I always give referrals. My porch was refinished, I had new floors installed in my kitchen, and I also had them install a new HVAC system. They get the job done and they get it done well.

  great job. satisfied customer. nice to use a contractor thats educated. professional and realistic estimates. always verified all expenses necessary for building. great problem solving and expertise. solid owner. reliable. took time to pay attention to detail and skilled carpentry skills that are the best ive seen in a long time. top notch. type of place youd tell your mom to use since you know they're honest.

  Legacy is great. Timely. Friendly. Licensed. Insured. Personalized Service. Grade A work. You can trust them without a doubt. Fine craftsmanship. Excellent woodworking skills. If you want work done that your neighbors will envy, use them. They always call you back. Truly, one of a kind. Never been happier with a contractor. Worthy of every ounce of praise they get. Great feeling to hire someone and feel like every dime you spent was 100% worth it. They are the best in this area if you ask me.

  My experience with Legacy Design and Construction was a very positive one. I have a great appreciation for honesty and integrity when interfacing with contractors. I am happy to say that I got all that and more when dealing with Legacy. I liked the fact that all of my interfacing was done with the head designer and company owner. I appreciated the fact that my calls were always returned right away. I also felt that the work was done exceptionally skillfully, they always cleaned up after themselves, and surprisingly, the estimate they had given me was much lower than I expected, especially when compared to those given to me by other contractors in the Chadds Ford area. You typically think that if you get an architect involved, the price goes up, but that really was not the case with Legacy. I did not need architectural services specifically, but I still felt like I was getting that when Legacy redid two of my bathrooms. They just have an eye for what looks good, what has the highest resale value in homes, and what improves your home's value. They well-earned my five star rating and I'd use them again in a heartbeat.

  I used Legacy Design and Construction, LLC. to completely redesign my home's existing floor plan in 2010. They removed walls, put in some beams, and made a more open floor plan that was better entertaining company and things like that. I also had Legacy add custom closets to my master bedroom suite in 2011, and to make a custom high-end island for my kitchen. Again and again, the head guy, Brian continues to amaze me. His skill and attention to detail is far superior to any other contractor that I have ever used, and I have been through a lot of them. Brian calls you back right away, I trust him 100%, and he has an eye for catching every single small detail that you could imagine. I even threw extra money at him because I was so impressed with his work, and for me, that says a lot. His estimates every single time have come in lower and more detailed than any other general contracting companies or even specialists so by the time I got to my third project with him, I just stopped getting other estimates entirely. I think because he has a degree in architecture and put so much time into his education, he just knows more than your average guy out there. He presents himself professionally, you can tell he's an intelligent guy, and he does the work himself. Recently, I had him come back to my place and replace 13 windows. I was amazed after he installed them because they were the most cleanly installed windows I have ever seen, and I have seen my heating costs go down greatly. I can honestly say that Legacy is amazing. They are like the knight in shining armor of contractors that you come across once in a lifetime, and I am glad that they are local to me and that I found them! If you want something to be customized and unique, as far as I am concerned, if you live in the greater Delaware area, Legacy is the only place to use. I've also recently learned that Brian has a background in "go-green" architecture, so I plan to have him back in the near future to update some of my systems, lower my bills, and make things more efficient. In the end, I'd say that Legacy goes above and beyond to make sure that you walk away at the end of the day feeling satisfied, like you got the best bang for your buck, and they even make you feel like a member of your family when you work with them. They are family owned, they really communicate with you, they take the time to listen to you, and they truly care about the quality of their work. They are outstanding and I would be happy to stand up and give anyone encouragement to use them.
