  Sod, grass and repair sprinklers

  Exactly the same of other one star reviews. You cannot get a word in, he does what he wants, doesn't listen to your needs, paid in full, still hasn't given me my invoice and now doesn't answer his phone. He replaced all my underground sprinklers only to find out he used the wrong ones. I've learned a valuable lesson, in a very expensive way. Be cautious of his worker, Bobby. He also took off without finishing the job which I paid for.

  I was very interested in having my old dry grass removed..I seen my next door neighbors having a tree cut and removed and asked Frank from Liberty Custom Landscaping what could be done about my grass..He suggested removal a reasonable price and was extremely knowledgeable and at first I could not understand how after my old grass was removed and the sod would take to dirt and look as great as it did after he applied and watered..He even came back to check to see how well it took.
  Very Impressed!!!!He really knows his business inside and out..He is one man but is fast..dependable..and recommend him to anyone for tree removal,stone application, sod placing,and he even checks sprinklers..

  Frank rang my doorbell because he saw that my front property was only partially renovated, and quoted a price for what he said he would do. He was difficult to talk to, did not listen, and keeps talking over me to tell me that he knows better what to do than what I want. But, for the first part of the job (skimming off and taking away crabgrass sod and unfertile sandy soil), he quoted a price of $500. He was to start between 9 and 10 am on the appointed day, did not show up until 12:45, started his ranting about what a bad day it was turning out to be, said he had to take his girlfriend to the doctor at 1:00, BUT DID NOT HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT TIME IT WAS. He was starting to write up an estimate, but walked to the truck and drove away. Called back around 5:00pm and made my wife's ears bleed with an ongoing babble of apologies. Said he would be over for sure around 10am the next day.
  He did not arrive, and I called him around 12 noon. He said that he was on his way, began his babbling about having to load his equipment, and started to describe doing something different than what we were originally discussing. He finally arrived around 1:00, started babbling, and NEVER GAVE EITHER MY WIFE OF MYSELF A CHANCE TO GET A WORD IN, and began walking around saying what he wanted to do.
  After filling his trailer with skimmed-off "sod" and poor sandy soil, he talked my wife into paying him $500 which he needed to pay to dump it (after previously stating to me that he gives it away). He left at 2:30 to go dump it. I was not present due to being at a medical appointment.
  As I write this (5:45pm), he has not returned, mounds of soil remain piled up on the front grounds and some is overflowing into the gutter. A hydraulic hose on his Kubota mini excavator is leaking oil out into the soil and his sod cutter, trailer ramps, and a hydraulic jack are now on my front property.
  I am also a senior citizen and feeling very stupid for having taken the chance to have him do any work for me. I think I would be liable if I said anything further about what I suspect about this person. Yes, as a previous review stated, he does seem to use a bully-like tactic, does what he wants, tells you what he says you need, talks, talks, and talks, and does not listen to anything that you want understood, interrupts and talks some more.
  I have a strong feeling that he will not finish what he started, and will not clean up, because he wants to first cart away another $500 load in order to lower the level to accommodate a layer of composted soil topped with sod, which, of course will have its additional cost.
  I hope that this helps other folks, if they think to check him out before hiring him, and I will return to report the final outcome of this unpleasant encounter.
  A minus 10 rating would not be low enough.

  Driveway

  $6,000

  I had a concrete driveway put in by Frank. He did not clean up after the job was finished. He left the guide sticks in and left the area very messy. He would not do what I asked him to do, only what he wanted to do. I am a Senior Citizen and felt bullied by him. I would not recommend him.
