I hired Lopez Enterprises Chicago Corporation on April 12, 2022. We have a signed contract for the company to repair the roof on my property. I explained to the owner/president of the company, Marco Lopez, that a roofing permit needed to be pulled as a requirement of my lender, and if a permit was not pulled for the work, the lender would not pay for the job. Also, our contract states that a permit will be pulled before any work would be started. Mr. Lopez told me a permit had been pulled but he never produced the document or permit number. Upon completion of the work, he informed me that he was unable to pull the permit and demanded payment for the work completed.
