M&S Partners/Owners personally installed my roof with their crew and it does not meet industry standards. The owner actually created the most workmanship issues as he installed the chimney flashing and it now leaks.
I have met with the owners many times and discussed repairing as well as other solutions. I have shaken hands with them and agreed to several settlements for repair and compensation, for them only to back out three times.
Because of this I have filed complaints with many entities including the BBB and the California State License Board against their license. The owner has said many things up to including threats to my personal health and safety.
Additionally the owner literally told me after backing out of his word and a hand shake and before we were to sign documents that " a mans word means nothing"
Here is a list of the issues that I have a claim with the CSLB against their license 801218 as they have refused to fix anything.
M&S Roofing Co. Owners have been made aware of all installation deficiencies through e-mails with photo attachments and follow-up phone calls from date of project in 2017 to current.
Complaint: 1) Written roofing contract not compliant with Business and Professions code article 10 section 7159 2) Threatening Language and Professional Misconduct – Owner 3) Use of False and Misleading Statements with Failure to comply with contract to supply lien waivers – Owner 4) Poor and Defective Workmanship OSB Sheathing 5) Poor and Defective Workmanship asphalt shingles installed out of compliance with manufacturers specification 6) Poor and Defective Workmanship Flashings Leaking 7) Breach of verbal agreement to have a repair, remove, and replace contract executed before 6/8/2018 based upon our written negotiations. The contract was for M&S to remove and replace entire roofing material as solution to eliminate all roofing issues at zero cost to owner covered under warranty. Breach of executed 5/23/17 contract to warranty workmanship.
