    Remodel 3-bedroom Apartment
    $10,000

I hired this company after having a bad experience with another contractor. The project was an apartment remodel in an old 4-unit building. Luckily, the first contractor completed most the demolition, refinishing of wood floors and painting of rooms.

M Zachary (Mike, Owner) promised me him and his crew could finish the work. They had 3 weeks to complete the work. His crew didn’t begin coming regularly until last week of contract (completion by 2/15/21) and once they started working the quality and workmanship left SO much to be desired.

He installed radiator valves in wrong direction, did a botched tile job in bath and kitchen (they had clean slate to work with), never cleaned the worksite, and abandoned the job the day they were to be finished with project! Mikes crew came whenever they chose and he was filled with nothing but excuses for his substandard work and workers.

He wants to blame old electrical wiring as the reason he flopped the project, however, he had 4 electricians come to the unit, giving 4 different opinions and he knew nothing. I had to take control of project and I hired the last electrician to install all fixtures, outlets, and run new wiring— that guy did a great job!

He is inexperienced in unit turnovers and his crew is disrespectful to your property (wasting stuff on new carpeting, leaving windows open in winter and doors unlocked) and they even were smoking cigarettes in the unit (freshly painted) without my permission. This was a labor only contract and the only labor they did I have to redo because the work it so horrible!

They were supposed to remove trash from site and have a crew clean-up, none of this occurred and I had to pay additional funds to remove from the premises. He came highly recommended from someone who I later found out was a family member. He doesn’t have the capacity to do this type of work, is arrogant, and doesn’t try to help or satisfy the customer.

The only thing he accomplished was purchasing supplies at HD for a small discount, but left the site with all the gadgets and tools I purchased for them to do my work, not cool! I bought every supply and did whatever he asked until he thought I would pay an Astronomical price for electrical wiring. I was taken advantage twice for trying to give small businesses a chance, he ruined it for me.

I went to the group I found him on to hopefully rectify the problem so he could be a man of his word and complete the project, he lied to the Administrator (who is a family member) and they have both since stop responding. I will use every resource available to let consumers know to be aware of this company and the GC, Michael Zachary, he doesn’t have integrity or the follow through to see your project to the end.

I went to see a project he was completing before mines, a bathroom remodel. He started before we signed contract on 1/22/21 and it still is not complete and the work leaves much to be desired. If that homeowner is happy, great. I’m here to let you know it doesn’t take more than 6 weeks to finish a bathroom, Co-VID or not.

I have plenty photos and evidence to prove each and every word placed in this review. I am not bashing and the unit will be completed by professionals. Mike had ample opportunity to make this right and his arrogance and pride (or lack of skill) has him lying and making up falsehoods about the facts of this remodel. He and his crew flopped and he refuses to take responsibility. I am a person who relies on reviews and word of mouth so BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!
