I had a certification done on my roof for the home I purchased. 2 weeks after closing and I moved in and went to the roof to clean out the gutters and found a hole in the shingles as well as the plywood. I then proceeded to call them and complain about it they sent somebody out and basically told me that that whole was not there when they were at my house certifying it they also stated that my shingles were not flapping in the wind when they certified it and that the gentleman that came out to the house and certified my roof cleaned off all the Moss off my roof which never happened. when I contacted them trying to get them to do something about it, the only offer they gave me was I'd have to pay half of my roof after they certify it for 5 years.

Avoid this company like the plague. Kevin Mackinnon is dishonest and cuts corners whenever possible. My eight year old roof in Belfair suddenly started leaking and needed repair. When a qualified roofer came out to fix the problem, he was appalled at the way the roof was installed. He pointed out all the flaws that were made by obviously inexperienced workers, while cautioning me that I may continue to have issues down the road. This house is only eight years old, and the roof is already questionable. Inexcusable.
When I talked to Kevin Mackinnon directly on the phone, he out and out lied to me about his company. He said that he no longer worked for Mackinnon Design and Development, and was therefore not responsible for any of its issues. The truth of course is that it was his company, and he discontinued it to start another one (the new one is called KAM.) Closing down operations and starting new ones to avoid any previous liability seems to be his approach.
Avoid this guy like the plague. Gary
