Initial sit down with plans was great. Took time with us, even through the build. After year end issues submitted something’s fixed others not aft two years now. ZERO communication! Now we have a couple of big issues that have surfaced and can not get him to call, come by or even respond to text messages. Sends folks to “look” at the issue then crickets, no communication. Very frustrating. Feel like he is taking on more projects than can be handled and hopes the issues go away. Caution!

Got a custom house built from Scott about 4 years ago. Did a awesome job and even let us change some of the plans halfway threw the build to fit our needs!! Great communication threw the entire build of the house. Definitely will be getting him to build our next house!

Terrible Do not use!!! Just full of excuses. Post construction...Good luck getting him to answer any type of communication you use to address your needs as the new home owner. I would not recommend him based on what I feel is a very important piece of the puzzle which is open communication. After all, you as the owner are why he gets paid and paid well.

Though he builds a decent house, he is hard to get in touch with. Sure he will talk with you and answer questions making him look like a professional and dedicated GC when you are interviewing him as a builder but after you sign with him... Good luck! When you do get in touch with him to address concerns he always has excuses and rarely has a solution. Just more excuses. Post construction...Good luck getting him to answer any type of communication you use to address your needs as the new home owner. Again decent house but I would not recommend him based on what I feel is a very important piece of the puzzle which is open communication. After all, you as the owner are why he gets paid and paid well.

I bought a house from Scott Mack about ten years ago. The market was pretty crazy then so when he offered us a decent price we signed the contract quickly. We signed late in November and were given an estimated move-in date of around May. Scott told us that he would be going to the permit office right away to get the ball rolling. Turns out he didn't file with the county until after Jan 1 for tax reasons. The county, in turn, was required to do their part within six weeks and thus waited the full six weeks. So over three months after signing the contract he finally had the permits and it started to rain, (not entirely Scott's fault, but if he had filed in Nov. like he said he would, the rain delay could likely have been avoided) now lot was a quagmire until early April. They finally broke ground in April and took their good old time to build the house. I didn't live close enough to Moyock to stop by the construction site often, but there were many visits weeks apart where there was no progress made on the house. All of the building delays pushed us past the end of the lease on the home we were renting adding for us the expense of moving into an apartment. To make matters worse, at some point during the construction Scott seemed to have decided that he had underbid the quote he made us in the house and treated my wife and me as though we were somehow ripping him off. We never haggled with him, he gave us a quote, we signed. To make a long story short, the house was finally finished in August, which gave us 30 days to close on the mortgage. We didn't have the best mortgage broker on the planet, and they took pretty much the whole 30 days. We never complained once to Scott about the building delays, but boy did he kick up a fuss about the mortgage delays. He didn't start complaining toward the end of the 30 days, he kicked and fussed for the whole 30 days! When we finally closed, he didn't give us the keys when he got the check, he waited until the check cleared at his bank and handed us the keys out the window of his truck in the bank parking lot and drove off!
The real fun started when we tried to get Scott to follow through on post-construction warranty repairs. He took care of a couple of small things, but for the most part avoided doing anything. The flooring subcontractor completely botched the kitchen/dining room floor, so why he wouldn't make them fix it is beyond me, but that was one of the bigger items. The back door was installed incorrectly and leaked. I had to pull back the linoleum and repair the rotted subfloor before the house was even two years old! The door manufacturer gave us a new door, and a neighbor who was a carpenter installed it. Scott didn't lift a finger. At the end of the two-year deadline for him to complete repairs we had to take him to court. The judge only gave us half of what we asked for, mainly because Scott lied his face off in court. Our neighbors on either side didn't have much more luck getting him to fix anything either. I talked to all of my neighbors and can safely say that all of them pretty much liked the houses he built, but none of them would recommend him to anyone.

Our McNamera Home is literally rotting around us. So far contractors have been on site over a week, removing siding, tyvev, and then rotting OSB, mildewed insulation, and framing members. None of the windows so far were flashed correctly. The top of the garage was equally in failure, and where walls meet brick were not even attempted to by flashed. Horrific failure that is costing me thousands.
