  They were assigned by Majestic Builders to build my house. I had no say in it.

  Matt Wilkes, a subcontractor for Majestic Builders, built my house. It took 11.5 months to build and even then on day of closing when I went to closing they were still working on the house. Upon taking possession of house it wasn't even clean, the jetted tub was full of green slime and a horrendous smell. Oven didn't work, trim work not finished, outside wood stain was three different colors, drawing on walls was painted over with watery paint allowing the drawings to bleed through and when I complained I was told by Matt Wilkes, the builder, "I'll give you your money back and sell your house within three days and make more money." Essentially an intimation tactic which would have left me homeless after eleven months of waiting. I can only assume the problems with the house were because they were rushed because of poor planning. Now, after fixing a few things, when I questioned why they didn't put in a zero entrance shower in the master as I am a senior and need a flat floor - that's why I paid extra for it- his response was that it was "his zero entrance has a curbed entrance" which is basically a lip that wheels cannot go over. He informed me he wasn't going to fix anything and has stopped. Lake Arrowhead is a beautiful development. I recommend a different builder and to avoid the builder who built my house.

  Last fall when we bought, I asked the builder "who is responsible for the Retaining wall" I was told by the builder that the retaining wall was the property line and that the wall was on the other property. This spring as we proceeded to start all of our planting the people that bought the house next door kept telling my wife that she was planting on their property. Their lot is 6 feet below ours separated by that wall. Since this is a PUD they don't give you copies of surveys
  I requested that the builder show us the property line and then the surveyor came out, 18" of what I thought was my property belongs to the homeowner 6 feet below me.
  I sent the builder a text and let him know I was going to the sales office the next day and if I could not resolve this, I was speaking to my attorneys.
  When I got there they were in a meeting about this problem and said they would call me.
  I got a call from Steve Roe who basically told me "Oh well, hire an attorney you won't get anywhere"

  Build house

  BUYER BEWARE - they say on the website they are semi custom to suit you but that is simply false. 1) they give zero credit for any base products when you upgrade a feature. So you pay the builder for the base item and then again full price for the upgraded item. Oh and some upgrades are only given in other sections of the neighborhood, so plan on the cheapest appliances in Highlands Vista. 2) they have problems giving their upgrade list pricing. Beware they will change the text of the feature to give you less without saying anything about it. 3) the “manager” that prices upgrades will give you the impression he/she does not like to work on pricing upgrades and does not do so in a timely manner. We had only 3 changes once we found out all upgrades are full price. 4) sales don’t communicate with you other to say I’ve got another appointment or I’m waiting for my manager to approve. We had our contract extended to finalize pricing and they still didn’t give us answers to our queries or finalize the price of the home. We ended up terminating as they decided not to work on this or with us. Plain and simple, incompetent sales and pricing and they really don’t care about getting your business. Maybe they’ll change when business isn’t booming again! Shame on this business ethic. Steve Roe said it just wasn’t a good fit, they aren’t semi-custom, and we wouldn’t have been happy with the product. Wow!
