Permits

We have used Marc Bonafe, III for over ten years and paid him a total of $534,232 over that period of time. He employs excellent skilled workmen and we have always been satisfied with their results.
However, this time (September 2019), Marc failed to include a $1,150 charge which we paid for demo and haul away in his "estimate" and had previously stated to us (me and my wife) that he would include the $1,150 payment as part of the final estimate. WRONG - NADA - NINE - ZILCH - ZERO! He charged $4,000 for labor (we bought all the materials except for the drywall and joint compound) and did NOT CREDIT THE $1,150 as stated previously.
He became enraged at our questioning him about this and came to our house today to stop any further work and clear his men. We requested a Fairfax County Police officer to be present and to preclude any possible fights.
We are taking the police officer's advice to action and are paying the final amount due on the contract ($2,000) and will never use Marcel's Home Building & Improvement again.
