Mark said all the right things we wanted to hear. After an initial solid 2 weeks of work, our 2 month project turned in to a 5 month nightmare. He and his team often times didn't show up and throughout the process left trash, equipment, materials, signs, etc around our house and yard. When we thought we were finally done with him after hiring a different contractor to finish our home, we got a bill from Mark 7 months after he left us high and dry to work on a different project. Said bill was 47% of the original bid. Poor business practices and very late work completion. I would sooner bring him to an attorney than use him again.

Mark and his crew did a major basement remodel for us about 2 years ago. Although his workmanship was excellent, he is a money gouger!! He will look for every possible detail to charge you for, without letting you know ahead of time. There were times he said he'd be over and he was a no show, and no call. Him and his workers left a huge mess in our basement during the project. When I complained about it he said "DON'T GO DOWN THERE!" When it was finally completed, we received a HUGE bill, much more than what we had agreed on up front. We haggled about it back and forth for weeks. I offered to meet him in the middle, he refused. I finally ended up paying him only for what was agreed upon in writing and in conversation. According to him we still owed $800. NOT! He will cheat you anyway he can. He made rude comments on several occasions calling me "Jewish". To this day he has not returned our house keys, we had to have the whole house re-keyed.
