Do not use Max Pro! Max Pro built a home we purchased in 2019 and it has been nothing but a headache since. Immediately upon moving it, it was clear that corners had been cut and covered up during the home buying process. This ranged from small issues, like not being able to provide all of the keys to the home (saying he lost them) so that we had to change the locks immediately. His realtor "gifted" us a washer and dryer for losing the keys, but conveniently put them in front of the wall that had an open pipe from the AC. So it covered up all the water damage of having said condenser pipe open within a wall. But those are minor compared to the two building violations that could have killed our family. First, the HVAC piping in the attic was clearly resting up on the framing which is clearly against VA code because it can cause a fire. Second, the fire place insert is not compatible with the type of venting. Therefore the CO2 has been venting directly back into the house, for our family to breathe in. After reaching out to the county inspector, they identified an additional 13 violation that have to be rectified before granting the final building permit, because Max Pro didn't even get a final building permit before selling the house! Since Max Pro has refused to fix any of their blatant mistakes, we have started to fix them ourselves which has taken over a year and tens of thousands of dollars because every time we fix one thing the contractor finds more that is unsafe and needs correcting. Max Pro clearly did our house on the cheap, knowing that many of the corners that were cut would take a year to find. Like using interior materials on the outside so that within a year are rotting off the house, never painted the window sills so that it looked like 10yrs of untreated dry rot in only one year, no pan flashing on any windows/doors, installed broken appliances, all hot and cold water lines are backwards, and the list goes on and on. So either Max Pro is corrupt, knowing that they are cutting corners which is illegal and unsafe. Or they are completely incompetent. We just want to prevent another family from moving into what they thought was a dream house only to find that it's unsafe and takes their hard-earned money to fix.
