Jose does not tell the truth. He stated his work was warranted, but 5 months after installation I had problem of floor pushing up. I called several times, no response. You are taking a gamble with this contractor. They are not a honorable company.

A quoted 3-day install of new vinyl floors (purchased from a local store) job took 6 days with repairs for some of the damages they did. They actually cemented over our in-floor A/C and heating vent then installed new flooring over it too. Guess they thought we might not figure it out. The project manager changed the way they were going to handle an already existing floor in the house that did not match what they told us was what the signed bid meant. If the existing wood floor in that one room was floating they would remove it for $200 (just that part of the work). If it was glued down they would use cement to gradually bring other lower floors up to it for a smooth transition (would remove the $200 and need to add cement pricing to the bid). They tore apart our glued-down wood floor destroying the sub-floor and then had to rebuild the raised floor framing as well - not on a slab. Trashed the bottom of all our cabinets which were just custom-made 7 or 8 years ago by lowering the new floor level by an inch. Now we need to have our kitchen repainted and the gouge marks smoothed out. The project manager kept disappearing for many hours each day leaving his very hard-working crew here that only spoke Spanish. We do not speak Spanish. He got really angry at my husband when he confront him about doing this. Oh, and if you have pets they don't seem to respect your direct request to keep their construction materials out of a specific space. We have over an acre so there is plenty of space here to work. Only one day did they stay out of there but that was the ONLY day the project manager was there to tell them not to do that. I had to clean up and collect nails and screws and sharp pieces of wood from our dogs' pen each day. Save yourself the headache. Oh, and the "office lady" is really the contractor but will not talk to you again once the job starts. You will only be given access to the project manager if he answers his phone or shows up to the job himself - good luck with that one. My husband's favorite thing was how the project manager every single day was missing a specific tool for the job that was needed to do the job that day and he had to leave to go get it taking on average 3 hours before returning. This dragged out the job much longer than necessary. We had our home torn apart twice as long as necessary. I have plenty of pictures to prove everything I have stated regarding damages. There are more rooms to be done here and we will find another contractor. We recommend staying away from Mayan Home.
