This person pretends to be a licensed general contractor when in reality he is only state licensed to do heating & ac. My friend hired him in late November 2018 & gave him $40,000 up front to reno a condo in Palm Springs. It was supposed to be done in 2 months. He gutted the 2 baths & the kitchen. No permits or inspections have been done. He used unlicensed people to do the work & didn't touch anything himself. It is now 4 1/2 months & the project is far from completed. It has cost my friend $7,500 in extra rent while she is also paying her mortgage. First of all, he will not give you a written contract, demands all the money up front & then finishes nothing in the timeline he has given you. DO NOT waste your time or money on this man. He IS NOT a general contractor & the state could shut down your project if he is reported since he pulls no permits & has no inspections done. He is a legal liability nightmare for you. DO NOT DO IT! Do you really want to live like that for many months past when a project is supposed to be completed. If you are gutting a kitchen or bath, do not use this person. He is a huge joke and your life will be a mess for a very long time. After more than 6 months this person abandoned the job & the kitchen was left undone & someone new was hired to complete the reno.

Michael did the same thing to me from the review above. It was a smaller project and demanded upfront$500 to keep the 10 days available for my smaller bathroom toilet. He made a mess of any work he did charged $ $2000 for every 3 days he worked, which were supposed to be an 8 hr. Day worked 3 days and collected for six days and have not heard from him since. He left me with a filthy mess having taken apart the tile bathroom concreted it incorrectly and I have not seen him since. This man should not be allowed to work on anyone’s project. He is not honest, has no correct work ethics a liar, a thief and nasty when confronted about his work. If we can find other people whom he has stolen from we could mount a very good legal action and get some money back.
