Midgard Contracting hired my small business to do some hydroseeding on Vashon Island. We applied the hydroseed to a steep hillside where a road was cut in. Everybody was happy when we were done including the home owner. The next day there were heavy rains and it looked like some of the material got washed off. The owner of Midgard Contracting, Dennis called me and asked what he could do. Our guarantee doesn't cover damage done by heavy rains lack of water or over fertilizing but we will typically do a touch up anyway to keep our customers happy. I told Dennis to give it a couple of weeks and it should still grow in good. I was quite surprised when my bank sent me notice that Dennis had stopped payment on the check he sent me. Apparently he hired another company to come out and spray it again before what I put down had a chance to grow and he didn't even contact me about it. According to him the other company said we used the wrong material. We used Flextera which is the best hydroseed product available for steep slopes. He was just making excuses for ripping us off. If I could I would post pictures of what it looked like after we hydroseeded it. I would highly recommend not working with this company.
