    Mike Rosario S Home Services

Although I believe Mike has good intentions, the work of his crew failed to meet minimal acceptance standards for a recent fairly extensive interior paint job. Here are some things to consider before entering into a contractual relationship:
    1) Be sure to ask if/when he will be onsite to supervise the work crew, as the crew was not onsite during the walkthrough (we did not know to whom we should direct immediate & pressing concerns).
    2) Although we prepared an itemized task order to help him prepare a quote, several "misunderstandings" about what jobs were to be completed remained unclear at the end of the job. We paid $300 extra for tasks that were included in the original order.
    3) Although we clearly asked for & expected all furniture & surfaces to be covered with during the week-long job, the painters were extremely sloppy, splattering paint on newly installed hardwood floors, newly purchased wood furniture, newly installed carpet, lighting fixtures, plumbing fixtures, door knobs, chair & crown mouldings, ceiling fans, windows, the door way, the side walk.....the list continues. Once we pointed out the sloppy work, the workers did try to clean up the droppings. This was very frustrating & heartbreaking to see our belongings splattered with paint.
    4) The cut-in work was abominable. We had ceiling paint on walls & wall paint on ceilings; very unsettling for a $6,000 PROFESSIONAL paint job. Finally, on the last day and after several attempts by their crew to re-paint entire surfaces, we were left with an tolerable result.
    5) The paint crewed cleaned their paint brushes & rollers in our bathroom & kitchen sinks! This was quite unacceptable since these are areas we try to keep paint free.
    6) After an acceptable dry wall repair, we noticed 1" sized chunks of dry wall in our sinks, brand new Kohler toilet tanks & bowls, cast iron bath tubs, and sinks.

I must stress that Mike's crew eventually cleaned up most of their mess although we continued to clean paint a week afterwards. And again, I believe he has good intentions. The delivery however, at least for us fell far short of his price and professed level of professionalism.
