Mike Smith repair a small leak, he did halfway job, he said that I need 4 shingles replaced, but he replaced only 2, when questioned about it, he gets angry and said don't teach my job. It took him less than an hour to replace 2 shingles. Charged me $250, when I wrote to him a check to the order of Mike Smith Roofing Company, he said no and that I should write the check to Mike Smith or to give him cash. I said that is fine if you give me a receipt of the itemized statement on official paper with the name of your company, Mike Smith Roofing Company. He refused and said that if he Does that then he has to pay taxes and that he does not pay taxes. He refused to take the check, next day he left two messages on my answering machine thteating that if I don't pay him $300 cash then he will put a lean on my house. The following day he left a note on my door stating that if I don't pay him &500 in cash no check the next day then he will put a lean on my house. I wonder if this Mike Smith has a register license to do contract work. I wouldn't recommend him at all, if you are desperate for work to be done, have every thing in writing and watch his work very closely and document your payment. Do not trust this clown.
