We had Mike put on an addition last year. The more I deal with his unskilled work the more my conscience cannot let him do to others what he did to us!!
He under bid the job from the start and then started lying to us about when things were coming in. He would be gone for a week or more and when we would call and ask where he was, he would show up for a day or two then disappear again. He was paid over 1/3rd at the start and 80% when he finally admitted he had no more money! The whole in-law sweet was unfinished at the time he admitted he was out of money! Then he tried charging us another 12,000.00 for change orders which His Architect screwed up! I have to replace my whole deck in back because of a elevation mistake by his architect and Mike knew it was going to be a problem when the block was being laid and he did nothing about it! Our wall with the French Door is out of plumb by 2” and is twisted! I said something before the sheathing and siding was on and he snapped at me and said ther was nothing he could do! A wall in our garage was 3” out of square which thank God the drywall guys fixed for me. They also fixed numerous other walls and put backing in where needed. One wall Mike had the studs on opposite sides of the lines so the dry wall guys had to move all the studs. Most all the walls on the second floor were out of plumb. Door opening highths and widths were all different so had to add wood to make doors fit better. The cap on the roof blew off in a wind storm so I had to go up and put them back. Of course he installed it incorrectly!! We ended up finishing the whole upstairs ourselves with the help of some friends and other subs we hired. He didn’t pay his subs on time and he might still owe I T Landis money that we had to prove we payed Mike already. Mike should not be in business and I would have sued him but it would of cost me more money that he had to give back to us. Mike’s workmanship is very sub par and his lying to us was what has lead us to at least pursue social media to stop him from doing this to others. I hope it’s not to late. Sincerely, Ron Garrett
